Pinkalicious

My children and I had the opportunity to attend a showing of “Pinkalicious” at The Orlando Shakespeare Theater in exchange for me writing this review.  All opinions about the show are completely my own.

Remember that favorite story book or series when you were a child?  The ones you would read over and over and over again, even before you could read you would look at the pictures time and again.  The ones you *may* still have sitting on a bookshelf for your kids to read?  That’s how “Pinkalicious” is to my 4 year old daughter.  She is completely enthralled!  Every time we go to the library she heads straight for a librarian and asks for help finding a new “Pinkalicious” book.  So when I found out there would be a show at The Orlando Shakespeare Theater I knew I had to take her!

To say she enjoyed the show would be a bit of an understatement.  She loved it! Even more impressive… my 13 month old sat through the entire show and watched and cheered.  She may have yelled, “hi!” at the actors, but I will neither confirm nor deny her rudeness in that matter.  Even my 5 year old son (who didn’t think going to the show would be any fun) sat with a smile on his face, completely entranced the entire time.

One thing I really loved was the fast pace of the show, the quick changes of scenery and all of the songs!  Oh, the songs!  They were fantastic and fun and the kids loved them.

Overall I would give “Pinkalicious” 5 out of 5 Macaronis for family-friendliness, being captivating, and just putting on a great show in every way.
