Five SE Orlando Breakfast Spots We Love

April 2, 2019

My kiddo and my husband love to go out to breakfast in Orlando on a weekend morning. I can't say I often tell them no.

After all, what’s not to love about breakfast? No matter what kind of breakfast you’re in the mood for -- the sweet or the savory -- you can find it in Orlando, FL.

Plus … breakfast has bacon!

And don’t even get me started on Mimosas!

Hungry for breakfast in Orlando yet?

I am! So I've rounded up my family's choices for the top five breakfast spots in the Orlando, FL area, along with the reasons that my family loves them.

Se7enbites

617 N. Primrose Drive, Orlando; 407-203-0727

Hours: Monday : closed, Tuesday - Friday : 730-330, Saturday and Sunday : 9-3pm

What we love: We love that Se7enbites offers indoor/outdoor seating, a menu that is out of this world tasty and fresh, and the OBP beermosa. If you ever spot me there I am likely to be enjoying the OBP beermosa with biscuits and gravy! Fun fact - se7enbites was featured on the hit TV series Diners, Drive ins, and Dives. Need I say more?

@ The Diner

9938 Universal Blvd. Suite 140, Orlando; 407-237-7687

Hours: Monday - Sunday 7-3pm

What we love: What isn't there to love about this menu? If you tend to have a sweet tooth all day every day then this is the spot for you! I highly recommend trying the strawberry cream french toast or the cereal pancakes. Your kids will be thanking you for the rest of the day after this tasty treat!

First Watch - Waterford Lakes

1448 N Alafaya Trail Suite 150, Orlando; 407-809-3447

Hours: Monday - Sunday 7-230pm

What we love: First watch is our favorite brunch spot, hands down. We love how kid friendly it is, we love that we can bring anyone who may be limited as to what they can eat because they are so accommodating, the customer service is always exceptional, and I have to say I am a sucker for farmhouse decor. Who isn't these days, amirite? ha ha! The kale and tonic is a must for my husband and I tend to stick to the smoked salmon benedict. It is just sooo delicious. The nice thing is if you aren't quite local to Waterford Lakes, First Watch has many locations across central Florida.

Omelet Bar

12250 Strategy Blvd suite 401 and 407, Orlando; 407-704-1597

Hours: Monday - Sunday 7-230pm

What we love: I love their diverse menu that is jam packed with show stopping meals. I would get their Philly steak omelet every day if I could. Mmm, it really is mouth watering! This place is packed on the weekends but they always manage to get us a table rather quickly. (Waiting to eat with a toddler? We all have been there and it's not pretty) The restaurant is clean and the staff is very welcoming. Fun fact - this restaurant was started by a UCF Alum! Pretty neat, huh?

Chela Tequila and Tacos

183 S Orange Ave, Orlando; 407-985-5272

Hours: Brunch on Sundays from 11-5pm

What we love: Okay now this is not somewhere I would bring my kiddo. I had to throw one in there that is for those rare day dates (remember those?), or just Sunday brunch with some of the girls. This place is pretty epic. For just $33.00 you get endless brunch buffett and... wait for it... unlimited mimosas and sangria! Yes, I said it UNLIMITED. So come hungry because this place does not disappoint. The brunch buffett has items such as breakfast potatoes, pancakes, chicken and waffles, chimichurri steak and tostones, and so much more! But really I had you at the sangria and mimosas, didn't I?

Hungry yet? Me too. Time for breakfast.
