12 Places to "Cool Off" in Orlando

Summer heat getting to you?  Looking for ways to cool off?  Check out these local hot spots!


Bithlo Community Park Splash Pad is a great-FREE- place to cool off in far East Orlando.  Located at 18501 Washington Ave, Orlando.


Bob Makinson Aquatic Center is a great place to cool off- located at 2204 Denn John Lane.  It is scheduled to open Memorial Day and costs $5 per person, ages 2 and under are free. 

Capehart Park Splash Pad is a beautiful park in East Orlando boasting a popular and FREE splash pad open to the public daily.  The address is 715 Capehart Dr in Orlando.  


Celebration Splash Pad located at 741 Front St. in Celebration is FREE and has a beautiful backdrop of the lake right behind it.  

The Chris Lyle Aquatic Center located at 3001 17th St in St. Cloud is only $3 for residents and $4 for non-residents per day.  There is a pool with lap swimming area and diving area, also a splash pad, shower and clean restrooms as well as a pavilion to escape the sun.  Swimming lessons are offered all summer as well. 


Disney Springs boasts a really fun and interesting splash pad as well.  It is located next to Once Upon a Toy at 1375 E. Buena Vista Dr., more information available by calling 407-939-5277

Downey Park Splash Pad is located in beautiful East Orlando at 10107 Flowers Av in Orlando.  This location has a $1 per person per session fee on weekends and holidays.


Dr. Phillips Community Park at 8249 Buenavista Woods Blvd. has our absolute favorite splash pad in the area!  It is a bit more of a drive but sooooo worth it!  Admission is only $1 per person per session and is only charged on holidays and weekends March through October and weekdays from June through August. 


Fort Gatlin Recreation Complex Pool is located in the Conway area and open daily with a $2 per person fee to enter the pool area.  Address is 2009 Lake Margaret Dr, Orlando.  Swim lessons are also offered at this location. 


Kissimmee Lakefront Park boasts one of my kid’s favorite splash pads in the area.  I love it because it is FREE and there are lots of shady seats for parents to sit and watch if they don’t want to get in and get wet.  Call this number if you need more information: 407-518-2501.  


St. Cloud Lakefront  has a great splash pad as well!  This splash pad is FREE!  The address is: 3001 17th St and you can call to get more information by dialing 407-957-7287

Tanja King Park boasts a free, simple, yet fun splash pad for kiddos with seating all around for parents to sit back and watch.  There are restrooms available but you must live in Avalon Park in order to access them.  The park is located at 13001 Tanja King Blvd, Orlando.
