OSC Discount Memberships

By Patricia Huff, Publisher Kissimmee-St. Cloud Macaroni Kid and SE Orlando Macaroni Kid November 15, 2016

My family has had the privilege of having a membership to the Orlando Science Center for the past year and absolutely LOVED it. I organized this group buy last year and decided it was worth it to go ahead and do so again. Below you can ready my review of our visit to Kid's Town last year. Please know, there are LOTS of other great exhibits geared toward older kids as well. Want to skip to the membership details? Just CLICK HERE to fill out the form.

If you have been to the Orlando Science Center you know how amazing it is.  Well, it just got even MORE amazing!  The new KidsTown is bigger, prettier and more exciting than the olds KidsTown.  I know that’s hard to imagine, but it’s true.

The Orange Grove is huge now, with more working parts and orange and green oranges.  The children have several tasks to complete along the way as they harvest oranges and prepare them to be shipped.  I love that they need to distinguish between the ripe and unripe oranges!  Another thing I really loves in the Orange Grove was the toddler area- a safe play area for younger kiddos where parents can easily keep an eye on their older children too.  The whole room is an excellent set-up.  Check out these pictures from orchard to store and everything in between!

As you work your way through KidsTown, the next room you come to, Isaac’s Climb Time, is absolutely amazing if your child is a physical child (I have 5 very physical kiddos)!  At first it appears as a climbing structure like many play places, but upon closer examination it’s much more like an obstacle course.  My children delighted in climbing and exploring for a very long time.  Thankfully they have seating so I was able to relax while they exhausted themselves.  Another thing I really loved in this room was that no matter where I sat I could see when they came out of the climbing area.  As a very cautious parent, this is important to me and the Orlando Science Center came through, once again, thinking of every last detail.

After this is a bigger room, broken into sections.  There’s an exploratory room with bins of all sorts of toys, a water play area, a theater, a toddler area and a section with hands-on engineering-type activities.  Not a single part of this lost the interest of my children and they played so long we were some of the last ones there.  Here are a few more fun pictures:
